Product Specialist (Penang)

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Establish frequency calls to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) within territorial area to promote, educate and develop usage of Company products.
  • Builds and enhances the good image of RB and its products by maintaining good relationship with existing customers.
  • Maintain an accurate records involve in the use or potential use of Company products through collection, compilation and analysis of records.
  • Makes pre and post calls analysis for future references to the use and needs of the GPs/ hospitals
  • Participates actively in special projects assigned or directed by Sales Managers and Brand Managers
  • Remains constantly alert to competitors’ products and latest promotional techniques in order to provide feedback to Sales Manager and Brand Manager and suggest alternatives or recommend counter actions.
  • Check stocks and availability of products within territory area and to collect orders in fulfilling customers need.
  • Collect information on the usage of RB products compared to competitor’s products and provide feedback so that sales plans and strategies can be improved.
  • Submits clear and concise reports monthly and within the stipulated time frame.
  • Ensure that all your future customers are kept satisfied / delighted through your regular personal visits.
  • Maintain proficient product information and product knowledge in ensuring accurate and proper data being presented to customers in the best professional manner.
  • Establish in consultation with Sales Manager the short term and long term business plan and strategies for the assigned territory.
  • Control samples and literatures in line with sales and marketing plans. Recommend/assist in marketing plans to improve effectiveness and achievement of company’s business objectives.
KEY CHALLENGES

 

  • Organize effective sales presentations of Company products through studies of customer records, preferences and needs so as to fulfil the Company’s sales and marketing objectives both effectively and efficiently.
  • Initiate and organize CME activities to increase product awareness and improve knowledge on RB products hence to create Top of Mind Recommendations.
  • Maintain close professional relationship with HCPs 
  • Pay close attention when talking to clients and listen to their complaints, and when and where possible, attend to them immediately.
  • Monthly sales reports, itineraries, expense reports and other business reports to be accurately done and submit to immediate superior within schedule.
  • Daily records to be kept up to date for your immediate superior’s review from time to time.
  • Plan and carry out other duties as may be assigned by the Company from time to time.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, any field.
  • At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Experience in pharmaceutical industry added as advantage. 
  • Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Sales – GP/ Hospital/ General or equivalent.
