RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Be responsible to search new second tier vendor for cost saving on EPD, and reflect to PPV.
  • Support HoP to set up commodity strategy on critical components.
  • Communicate with EAST engineer to fully understand technical request of new components. Search vendor according to the request. Then fully communicate with vendor on the request to verify if the vendor is qualified to offer quotation.
  • Support purchasing manager to verify components price of project quotation from co packer, such as PCBA price, IC price, motor price…
  • Be responsible to establish price info data base of components, including price history.
  • Be responsible to establish second tier vendor master data base
  • Support planning team to run the stock of key components, to avoid the risk of high components stock. High level components stock will reduce the flexibility of PO flotation and new version replacing old version.

 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 2-3 years experience in purchasing and good at data analysis.
  • Strong knowledge to understand components spec and no difficulty to communicate with engineer on technical.
  • Good experience to work with vendor on technical or business.
  • Very familiar on the process to get new vendor involved for cost saving.
  • Can find the new vendor quickly and accurately. The best choice is the sourcing specialist has current resource on hand for motor, PCBA, IC...
  • Home appliance background is preferred.
  • Engineering background is necessary.
  • Mandarin Chinese is required as mother language for fluent communication with China local vendor.
  • Necessary English is required.
