The production site Reckitt Benckiser of Chartres, subsidiary of an international group (10.5 billion € turnover), world leader in the cleaning products market (DETTOL, ST-MARC,...) and with a strong position in the personal care sector (VEET, SCHOLL CLEARASIL, E45, INTIMA ...) is recruiting for its production site in Chartres (28 - Eure et Loir), a :

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT MANAGER (M/F)

Permanent position

Purpose:

 

Continuous Improvement is not a project, is it a way of working. As a CI Manager you’ll lead the development and implementation of continuous improvement processes and projects, reporting to Site Director.

Partner up with management and develop people to improve productivity, safety, quality, service and costs through CI tools and methodologies.

Main missions:

 

  • Develop root cause problem solving capabilities, develop sustainable solutions and implementation of the best manufacturing practices. Liaise within the RB manufacturing network with peers and CI network, to roll out and share best practices.
  • Adopt proper and standardized Operational Reviews on the different levels, by example and developing from doing/teaching into coaching people in all levels
  • Provide expertise in Continuous improvement methodologies in key field of competency (Lean manufacturing, Lean 6 sigma, SMED, Operational Excellence…) and Drive each CI projects in partnership with all plant leaders to build and execute development plans to assure sufficient resources to sustain the lean culture

  • Keep safety and quality as primary concerns during planning and implementation phases of improvement activities.
  • Work in partnership with IT Project leader to take into account digitalization in all Improvement projects.
  • Use standard tracking and reporting systems, prepare detailed plans, drive performance project, and assure timely completion and achievement of product / process, and savings goals.
  • Build capabilities across the site to review and align operational reviews and performance management KPIs.

Key competencies of the desired candidate:

 

Graduated as Engineer, you justify at least 5 years of experience in managing complex projects in an Operations and Supply environment, preferably FCMG manufacturing industry.

 

You own strong Continuous Improvement skills and methods (project management, Kaizen, 6-sigma, Lean, VSM…). Problem-solving skills are essential, as well as tenacity and determination. You enjoy working in a team environment and are highly committed.

You have the ability to influence a team through a matrix organization.

Very good communicator, you also have a good resistance to work under pressure.

 

You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and have advanced knowledge of Excel.

The taste for working in a multicultural environment and the ability to reconcile conflicting interests/positions between the different interlocutors are pluses.
