The production site Reckitt Benckiser of Chartres, subsidiary of an international group (10.5 billion € turnover), world leader in the cleaning products market (HARPIC, AIRWICK, ST-MARC, CALGON, ...) and with a strong position in the personal care sector (VEET, CLEARASIL, E45, INTIMA ...) is recruiting for its production site in Chartres (28 - Eure et Loir), a :



Long Description

The Purchasing Manager is the key interface between the Chartres plant and the Global Purchasing department. This support must be in line with global purchasing strategies contributing to growth and maximizing profitability.

 Main missions:


  • He/she is responsible for monitoring the purchasing plant's expenses and provides active support to the different functions during the annual planning/forecasting process.

Business Continuity Plan: He/she follows all the actions necessary for the implementation of a BCP for the site in accordance with the strategy of the central purchasing organization.


  • The Purchasing Manager ensures that projects are implemented on time in terms of cost and quality.
  • He/she ensures the implementation of new suppliers for the site and acts as a link between the factory and the global purchasing department with suppliers.
  • He/she liaises with global buyers.
  • He/she monitors price changes compared to the Plan and/or Forecast (FC01, FC02, FC03), identifies the main factors of variation and presents the action plans communicated by Global Purchasing.

Suppliers and NPS Spending - Local Portfolio:

  • The manager manages a local portfolio: strategy, tendering, negotiation, contracts and support for key investments (> £20,000) in accordance with global standard operating procedures.
  • He/she follows the supplier KPIs (Scorecard) agreed between the factory and the central purchasing office.

Spending (NPS) - Local Portfolio: He/she supports the site in the implementation of NPS projects: identifies and leads key NPS savings projects; ensures that PACT policies are followed by local budget stakeholders.

Manager of the purchasing assistant, interface between purchasing and the plant for the ERP system

Audits: S/he ensures that the procurement is always ready for external audit in accordance with regulations, quality and finances.

Long Description

Key competencies of the desired candidate:

  • Graduated from a Business School or a master’s degree in international Purchasing, you have 2 to 5 years of experience in managing procurement projects in close relationship with sales teams.
  • Very good communicator, you also have a good resistance to work under pressure.
  • Problem-solving skills are essential, as well as tenacity and determination. You enjoy working in a team environment and are highly committed.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and have advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • The taste for working in a multicultural environment and the ability to reconcile conflicting interests/positions between the different interlocutors are pluses.
