Pilot Plant Technician

Long Description
  • Hands-on ability to operate and understand the function of aseptic processing/packaging, spray dryers, blenders, dairy processing, packaging and other pilot plant equipment/processes. Learns the operation of new/rented pilot plant equipment for technology assessment tests.
  • Ability to understand and operate dry cleaning, CIP, COP and SIP per standard operating procedures.
  • Use process automation HMI to operate equipment, and instrumentation to facilitate experiments.
  • Completes, with minimal supervision, staging, preparation and processing of clinical, consumer test supply, experimental products adhering to manufacturing batch records and protocols.
  • Weigh and stage batches for trialing production at the Technology Center.
  • Assist with receiving, warehouse, logistics, weigh rooms, dispensing and staging operations for Technology Center.
  • Using SAP to receive (GR) and consume (GI) materials and packaging supplies.
  • Adhere to best practices in GMPs, EHS, FDA and other regulatory agencies.
  •  High school diploma required, with 2 years’ experience in food processing or related industry preferred; A Technical Associate degree with equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Experience operating food processing and packaging equipment is preferred
