The Consumer & Market Insights Manager plays a key role in driving the growth of the regional business by influencing the growth strategies and investment choices based on strong consumer and market understanding. The focus is on Executing winning Innovations and activation of brands through deeply rooted insights, resulting in RB penetration, share and topline growth.


  • Have a deep understanding of consumers, trade, markets and be the Consumer Insights and Knowledge champion in the organization. Ensure that business strategies are grounded in appropriate consumer and business insights and foresights to balance risk and rewards.
  • Strong focus and involvement in managing the business, brand and innovation activation/commercialization. Oversee testing, validation and delivery of key measurements on company initiatives. Deliver fact based overall business performance and clear directions regarding strengths and weaknesses of the brands and define key threats and challenges on an ongoing basis. 
  • Participate in the development of business and strategic plans by leading the delivery of objective consumer and business insights and emerging trends that shape priorities
  • Identify appropriate learning plans in accordance with business goals and strategic objectives. Anticipate research requirements and develop and communicate longer–term plans and processes to best meet information needs. 
  • Develop strong relationships with global and regional external research suppliers to ensure superior service and quality. Leverage best in class and cutting-edge methodologies in partnership with external partners.
  • Generate commitment, motivation and enthusiasm for CMI as a whole. Drive CMI knowledge and capability of the category teams through trainings and coaching. Build strong relationships within the Global CMI community and contribute to the leadership, development and application of Best Practices for Consumer and Market Insights within RB



  1. 8-10 years’ experience of CMI management in multinational Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), additional Research Agency experience on a large multinational FMCG account is a plus.
  2. Proven ability to translate business challenges into business questions, learning plans and driving actions based on insights.
  3. Experience in learning/research plan development, budget management & priority setting
  4. Demonstrated experience and skills in market analysis, qualitative and quantitative consumer, shopper and trade research. 
  5. Multi category CMI responsibility of a large FMCG multinational business in excess of £100m.
  6. Strong commercial understanding of corporate business and operational models
  7. Strong understanding of brand building strategy, commercialization plans, revenue & profitability
  8. Strong proven in market results (revenue, share, equity, penetration) of business driven by recommendations and insights from the individual
  9. Results oriented, independent, entrepreneurial and self-motivated
  10. Leadership and proven ability to influence business decisions and strategies while working with diverse teams.
  11. Collaboration and demonstrated ability to work effectively with key business partners and stakeholders in a productive environment.
  12. Excellent English communication skills both written and oral.
  13. Versatility, capacity and mobility, RB is a global business that will require travel and potential future international relocation for other assignments
