Financial Analyst

Long Description

Responsibilities:

Monthly Management Reporting

  • Preparation of monthly commercial and management reports with quality commentary on a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide management support on all ad-hoc reports and analysis under demanding deadline.  
  • Ensure maximum usage of available reporting tools such as HFM, Fusion, Anaplan, Power BI, etc to improve reporting efficiency.
  • Support the business in maintaining and updating the reporting tools in line with global changes.
  • Continuously strive to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the reporting requirements in line with the business needs by developing new value adding analysis and insights.
  • Ability to manage month end allocations and cross charges between different business units.
  • Monitor monthly performance against plan and forecast, report on major variances and provide suggestion for improvement.
  • Review trade and marketing spends and provide sound advice on investment choices to improve ROI by channel and by category.

Planning and Forecasting

  • Support on full P&L forecasting and analysis as part of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial forecasting and planning process, including plan deck preparation.
  • Involve in long term strategic planning exercise by providing financial data, analysis and insights.
  • Review all key financial parameters such as net revenue, cost of goods sold, gross margin, working capital, marketing investment, trade & consumer spending ROI, commercial fixed costs, etc. with highlight on exception and suggestion for improvement.
  • Perform bridge analysis on major P&L items (e.g. GMVA) and able to provide building blocks and business drivers in financial simulation.

Controlling and Monitoring

  • Maintains financial integrity by complying with company policies, SOP and internal controls procedures.
  • Net Working Capital forecast and tracking.  Suggest improvement initiatives to maximise working capital. 
  • Coordinate productivity and savings initiatives.  Able to track productivity target achievement and provide salient advice when targets go off-track.

Ad Hoc Business Advisory Support

  • Support management team in Business Reviews by gathering all financial data and prepare relevant presentation materials.

 

Qualification & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Accountancy from a recognized university.
  • Accredited member of an internationally recognised professional accounting organisation (CPA) is a plus.
  • Minimum 6 years of work experience in MNC with exposure in the field of management reporting / FP&A is preferred.
  • Candidate with experience in the FMCG and consumer healthcare industry will be advantageous.
  • SAP experience is preferred.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and committed to the timely delivery of results.
  • Ability to work across functional teams and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders at various levels in the business.

  • Agile, confident and high integrity.
  • Fluent spoken and written English and Chinese
