Commercial Analyst

An opportunity is available for a Commercial Analyst to join our Netherlands Finance Team in Health Business Unit.

The person on this position will be responsible for supporting Senior Sales Controller and the entire sales department in their financials.

As a key member of the Finance team, the role is focused on three key pillars: Customer P&L’s analysis and ownership, financial reporting and fixed costs investments of the Netherlands business.

This is a varied role which provides the opportunity to influence many aspects of the Netherlands business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Link closely with the entire NL Sales Team, Senior Sales Controller and NL Finance Manager to ensure Sales forecast accuracy
  • Ensure trade spend is well controlled and determine whether any opportunities for savings exist
  • Customer P&L’s ownership & analysis
  • Ensure maintenance of data in key sales systems (Accelerate/SAP/Power BI)
  • Support the S&OP process to ensure full forecast alignment
  • Provide Promo ROI to improve Trade spend efficiencies
  • Ensure accurate accruals (trade investment) are being booked during monthly closes
  • Maintain tracking and resolution of claims and disputes with customers
  • Assist Senior Sales Controller in all ad-hoc sales controlling requests and required analysis
  • Improve and challenge current processes
  • Own and perform analysis on the fixed cost investments of the Netherlands business (overheads management)
  • Key point of contact for overheads based PO’s for the NL business (non-marketing)

 

Key requirements:

  • MSc Degree in Economy, Finance or Business related
  • More than 2 years of experience in finance and/or business control
  • Commercial acumen and interest in FMCG business
  • Effective communication and influencing skills
  • Experience in a multinational matrix environment
  • Fluency in English (Dutch will be considered an asset)
  • SAP knowledge will be considered a strong asset
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and uncertainty well
  • “Can do” attitude with strong assessment skills and reliable judgment
  • Ability to prioritize in fast paced environment
  • Passionate, “hands on” professional, energetic, entrepreneurial, pro-active and results oriented
  • Valid EU working permit
