Key Account Manager

We are looking for a Key Account Manager to join our Netherlands Sales team within the Health division.

Reporting to the Sales Manager Netherlands, she or he will be responsible for defining short term and long-term plans, building category expertise and retailer partnership, for the creation, the negotiation and the implementation of the customer plan, including trade investment management that delivers the sales and profit targets.

The position will be based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the annual business plan for the account portfolio
  • Manage customer negotiations in relation to RB commercial strategy and customers trading terms
  • Account planning and forecasting
  • P&L ownership and responsibility: Achieve Net Revenue, Gross Margin, 4P targets (Product, Placement, Price & Promotion) & Net Working Capital targets for the accounts
  • Working close with the Marketing and Trade Marketing team to deliver best practice in-store sales execution, on shelf  availability and promotional compliance
  • Analysis of sales data (e.g. Nielsen) to provide insights for National Account Team – focusing specifically on promotional activity and new product launches
  • Working cross-functionally with Supply Services to ensure that sales forecasts are accurate and adequate stock levels are available within the customers supply chain system
  • Working with activation teams to implement best-in-class promotional execution and visibility for all trade promotions 
  • Develop working relationships to deliver account objectives
  • Coach one Key Account Manager and a sales assistant 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in FMCG or consumer goods
  • MSc Degree
  • Skilled negotiator – ability to conduct multi-faceted negotiations at both tactical and a strategic/contractual level
  • P&L knowledge and experience with Nielsen / IRI 
  • Proven successful Retail Sales experience gained in FMCG markets (1-2 years) 
  • Fluency in English and Dutch, any other language will be considered a plus
