To provide financial support to Commercial Controller and in the specific areas of Brand P&L Performance; New Product Development Financials; Marketing Spend Control; Consumer Promotion Review & Control; Planning and Financial Analysis.




  • Review and Close Monthly Marketing Costs ensuring full and accurate reporting of BS and P&L.
  • Prepare and Report on Full P&L as well Brand Reports. Identify risks & opportunities in the monthly & full year forecasts.
  • Support the Finance Controller in closing & reporting month end P&L by Brand & Country.
  • Drive Brand P&L and forecast processes, providing challenge & support to the Marketing teams. Ensure accuracy of plans and forecasts
  • Challenge Marketing spend ensuring appropriate return on investment and profit generation.
  • Provide technical financial support to the Marketing teams ensuring management of Brand P&L and Return on Investment analysis on commercial activities.
  • Build strong working relationships with the commercial team.
  • Manage Marketing spend in line with plan challenging the relevant budget holders to deliver Plan P&L and appropriate ROI on investments;
  • Ensure robust internal control processes are in place on Marketing Spend.
  • Work with Commercial Controller to develop Financial Forecasts and Plan.
  • Undertake work according to the directives provided by senior management, transferring and managing all work within their scope of responsibility efficiently and productively to support the interests of the company.



  • Experience in the following are preferable
  • CIMA or CA (SA) qualified. Min 2 year qualified.  Articles from Big4 preferred.
  • Expertise in managing multiple projects with competing priorities and multiple stakeholders
  • The ability to set realistic deadlines and expectations
  • Strong project management, analytic and organisation skills
  • Strong and proven financial acumen




  • Effective multi-tasking skills and strong keyboarding and data entry skills
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Other databases relevant to the role
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Likeness towards statistics and working with numbers
  • Positive outlook
  • The business language in RB is English, therefore fluency in English is essential
