This role is responsible to co-ordinate and manage all the manufacturing and packaging activities of the Dettol Plant and to ensure that all manufacturing and packaging processes are carried out in compliance with the RB Global Manufacturing and Quality Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and local Regulatory requirements (MCC).

As an integral member of an experienced and dynamic team, you will ensure that the department meets its production requirements (including volume, quality, costs) effectively and efficiently to meet customer service requirements, OEE targets, and pack fill rates. In addition, to continuously strive for improvement of methods and systems.

  • Bachelors Pharm. Degree and registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council
  • Must have demonstrated experience of 5-7 years in a similar role in FMCG/ pharmaceutical companies & industries working in similar capacity and able to manage production and packaging of Pharmaceutical products.
  • Detailed and up to date knowledge of: GMP, GHP, Drug Laws, MCC and Regulatory and production processes, Production planning / scheduling expertise, Sound technical background and competence in understanding production processes and systems and their impact on product quality, Quality Systems (ISO 9000 Series), statistical evaluation and manufacturing /process knowledge.
  • Experience in validation of plants, equipment, computers and processes.
  • Sound knowledge of packaging analysis / evaluation and in-process requirements/ controls within all aspects of pharmaceutical production.
  • Knowledge of production and packaging technology (pharmaceutical & chemical)
  • Must be a RSA citizen.
