eCommerce Business Development Manager (Direct to Consumer)

 

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Drive significant and sustainable business growth, managing a host of commercial levers to grow the Malaysia DTC eCommerce business across web and mobile 
  • Build and manage eCommerce marketing calendars to ensure maximum efficiency to drive revenue, and manage the execution of the calendar across web and mobile 
  • Liaise with local and regional teams to identify opportunities for shopper acquisition and revenue acceleration, particularly through influencers, referrals, print, affiliate marketing, PR and offline events 
  • Co-own the Malaysia DTC P&L together with the DTC regional team, including budget planning, tracking and optimizations. Report out on performance providing key insights and actions to cross-functional teams and leadership 
  • Work with the local Marketing, Brand, Supply, Trade Marketing and Regulatory teams plus the regional DTC team to deliver consumer WOW across the pillars of catalog, content and conveniences for web and mobile 
  • Ensure that the DTC pricing strategy and brand accretive by working closely with local Sales, Trade Marketing and eCommerce teams 
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Brand and Supply teams on DTC product category development across ranges, pack types and packaging. Help develop an ecommerce exclusive portfolio strategy, along with plans and budget to achieve goals 
  • Manage product updates and new product launches to the regional DTC team including the provision of content, product images and product data uploads  
  • Provide support for strategies that improve shopper retention across web and mobile, as needed 
  • Support the regional product teams with content strategy and feature roll-outs, as needed  
  • Leverage data to make informed recommendations to optimize our efforts across channels & tactics  
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of new or emerging trends within the MY ecommerce space 


PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • Minimum 4 years of experience across marketing or sales in eCommerce or DTC 
  • Demonstrated understanding of how to use marketing levers to drive commercial growth 
  • Expertise in data-driven marketing strategies 
  • Demonstrated creativity and strategic thinking skills 
  • Strong business and analytical acumen 
  • Proven track record in growing an ecommerce business 
  • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills 
  • Highly energetic, self-motivated and proactive 
  • Experience with platforms such as Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, etc. 
  • Knowledge of technical setup activities for eCommerce platforms 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, to prioritize them and meet deadlines 
  • Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills
