The RB Luxembourg office, based in Leudelange, is looking for a part time (4 days per week) Finance Assistant with solid knowledge to support the Local Finance Manager in Luxembourg, and be part of the Global CHQ Finance team (based in the UK).

 

You will be coordinating the statutory compliance requirements and involved in a varied range of projects. The successful candidate, as part of a growing tax team, will experience a wide range of exposure to the activities of a large multinational organisation.

 

You’ll specifically… 
Support the Finance Manager with the day-to-day financial activity of the Luxembourg Holding and Finance entities 

  • Maintain accounting and bookkeeping in the group ERP (SAP), and the internal controls
  • Coordinate cash flows, fx exposure, settlement of invoices, intercompany recharges and tax liabilities 
  • Prepare bank payments to suppliers, and deal with all queries associated with invoice payments
  • Review and support of management fees calculations and payments. 
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts
  • Perform various administrative and office related tasks for the Luxembourg office 
  • Assist with general correspondence, typing, editing and preparation of documentation
  • Ensure that various documents are scanned and filed appropriately

Assist in coordination of the compliance requirements of the Luxembourg entities 

  • Support in financial statement preparation; monthly management and Central Bank reporting
  • Ensuring all legal and compliance obligations of the entities are met as a shareholder of foreign subsidiaries 
  • Organisation of meetings (board meetings/ briefing meetings), attendance at boards meetings and board minute preparation
  • Supporting and closing tax audits 

Be involved in the implementation of specific projects

  • Assisting with Group CHQ projects as needed, supporting on the implementation of key multi-jurisdiction projects including assistance with the preparation of documents, board minutes, spread sheets and presentations for discussion (past examples include mergers, de-mergers and liquidations)
  • Responding to ad hoc queries from CHQ
  • Working with external advisors where required

 

You profile and attributes…

  • Master’s degree in Finance or Tax Accounting preferred with at least 3 years of experience in an equivalent position 
  • Accurate, good analytical skills, strong sense of responsibility 
  • Proactive self-starter with practical attitude and no-nonsense mentality 
  • Highly organised with ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment 
  • Self-confident and able to deal with a wide range of customers with professional approach 
  • In line with RB core values, the candidate will be achievement-focused to be able to work in a direct and often pressurised environment; having strong entrepreneurial skills in terms of innovation and problem-solving; be tough-mindedness and able to influence, demonstrating strong team-working abilities and commitment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English   
  • IT literate with preferably knowledge of MS Office, SAP and consolidation reporting software (HFM)
