Leading a dedicated category strategy for one of our biggest national customers, you’ll develop solutions that progress both their business and ours. About the Role

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for driving the Target sales strategy.  Playing a key role in the sales team, you will oversee the achievement of the customer plan for the Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements (VMS) category.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the relationship with Target buyer; contribute to customer strategy ensuring local RB business objectives are achieved
  • Achieve/exceed key sales measures and targets for the national account (NR, COP, NWC and trade spend)
  • Work in close partnership with Trade and Brand Marketing to ensure development and implementation of customer category strategy and best-in-class 4P execution
  • Partner with Demand Planning & Customer Service team to ensure service levels are met/exceeded
  • Develop the base and promotional sales strategy, including trade budget management, forecasting, and range and space optimization
  • Manage customer negotiations in relation to RB commercial strategy and customer’s trading terms
  • Overall continuous improvement - identifying opportunities for efficiency and profitability and an overall improvement in the management of the Infant Nutrition category



  • 4-year college degree preferred or equivalent management experience
  • 2-5 years related Sales experience
  • Strong knowledge of Consumer Packaged Goods industry
  • Previous experience with the Target account preferred
  • Ability to travel required
  • Strong knowledge of Syndicated Data (Nielsen/IRI) as well as Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Target systems preferred (SOLYS, Merch IQ, POL)
