R&D Associate, Analytical - ECC

About the role

 

RB Montvale is seeking an experienced, self-motivated analytical scientist to join our team in the role of Associate Scientist in the analytical lab. The successful candidate fulfilling this role will act as a lead to provide analytical support for RB Health & RB Hygiene Global new product development & launch projects. The candidate must have the desire to work in a fast paced, team-oriented, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

 

•    Act as the Analytical point-of-Contact for assigned RB Health & RB Hygiene new launch initiatives.

 

•    Lead the development and qualification of new methods for launch and claim support


•    Supporting formulation development work by providing efficient and robust analysis, by providing scientific data interoperation.


•    Conduct studies in a timely manner and ensure that the project(s) progress according to the agreed timeline.

 

•    Support the advancement of analytical capabilities


•    Prepare SOPs, protocols, scientific reports and technical documents for internal or external publication/presentation.

 

•    Serve as technical resource for analytical method issues and instrument issues


•    Working with junior chemists to develop their skill sets

Qualifications

 

•    BS, MS or PhD in Chemistry; A BS with 8+ years of relevant work experience or a MS with +5 or a PhD with 0-3 years of relevant work experience in R&D analytical laboratory setting.


•    Demonstrated fundamental understanding of analytical chemistry and its related technologies, such as UPLC, HPLC, GC, ICP, FTIR and wet chemistry Technologies. 


•    Working knowledge on LCMS and GCMS is preferred.


•    Demonstrated experience in the analytical method development, method validation, and understanding of product development process


•    Ability to think critically and creatively to identify and solve scientific problems


•    Direct, hands-on experimental experience in analyzing complex solutions and polymers


•    Ability to work well independently and in a cross-functional team environment


•    Ability to multitask in a dynamic workplace


•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


•    Effective oral and written communication skills


•    Self-motivated and well-organized
