Senior Manager, Consumer Safety Health – North America

  • Ensure effective business partnering with key stakeholders to deliver effective communication of safety risks, and collaborate on strategies to mitigate them.
  • Lead a matrixed technical team responsible for conducting hazard evaluations and human health risk assessments for RB Consumer Healthcare products in accordance with RB policies, guidelines, and statutory requirements.
  • Preparation and review of safety language labelling to ensure RB products are used as intended.
  • Serve as a point contact for safety related issues that may arise in North America related to RB products. 
  • Ensure products are properly categorised per regulatory requirements, and appropriate safety documentation are generated by the team to support innovation and the maintenance of the established portfolio.
  • Represent RB interests in the area of product safety and stewardship with government agencies, industry associations and other organizations as directed.
  • As necessary and in compliance with RB policies, design and/or manage toxicology and safety tests required to support product registration and safety.
  • Manage statutory reporting requirements and assist in the response to adverse health effects complaints and product incidents.

Qualifications and Capabilities:

  • MSc/PhD in Toxicology and/or a related discipline with at least 8 years+ of relevant regulatory toxicology experience.
  • Proven experience in the risk and safety assessment of consumer products. Ability to analyse and interpret scientific literature and toxicological data and document within a formal risk assessment.
  • Management experience of technical teams preferably in a consumer healthcare company
  • Expertise in the review and analysis of toxicology and related chemical safety data.
  • Expertise in designing, conducting and monitoring toxicological tests.
