UK Tax Supply Accountant - Manufacturing 
Nottingham , Nottinghamshire

Enabling the smooth running of our business, you’ll support our forecasting and planning. 
You’ll tell the story behind the data, providing the financial intelligence our leadership depends on to make critical decisions. 
You’ll ensure the integrity and accuracy of reporting. 
You’ll collaborate with other finance teams and manage reporting, compliance and controls projects. 
Ultimately, your analysis will provide the insights that allows us to grow our business and manage our costs.

Key areas of responsibility will be:
Sugar Tax (IPR: Inward Processing Relief)
Work closely with the tax team to understand the Inwards Processing Relief (IPR) scheme, 
how this relates to and impact’s our Sugar product production and distribution.
To be able to trace manufactured products from material import to finished good export, 
using batch references and custom entry numbers.
Complete IPR SOP’s, embed full process within all relevant departments in 12 months, 
train operations and finance with the process.
Completion of daily import information to logistics teams to enable IPR export products to be despatched on time.
Monthly Bill of Discharge (BOD) reconciliation and submission, adhering to HMRC deadlines.
Weekly Waste discharge authorisation from HMRC.
Understand duties / shipments
Onward processing relief, tracing throughput in factory
EU to EU (FG) exception relief
Liaising with procurement on duties to ensure accuracy
Monthly recs for UK on HMRC files.
Validating UK deferment account on monthly basis
Plastic Tax 2020
Tracing thoughput of plastic in factory for future plastic tax
Compliance reporting
Neutrals / FX 
Neutral tracking for UK
Forecasting LV
Liaising with Treasury departments to ensure postings are accurate

 You’ll succeed because… 
…you’ve a Qualified Accountant, manufacturing & SAP experience preferable, 
expertise in HMRC expertise particularly Tax & Duties and project experience is desirable
