Global Brand Manager - International Expansion

As a member of the International Marketing team, the Global Brand Manager is focused on driving growth for Reckitt’s Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements (VMS) business internationally by leading the brand strategy, portfolio strategy, entry models and innovation pipeline for focus brands in line with the commercial strategy as set by the VMS Global business unit.

 

The key focus areas for the role are:

  • Drive our China business behind innovation, strategic guidance, equity development and collaboration/cooperation. This includes developing and growing the portfolio for Airborne, Neuriva, Digestive Advantage, MegaRed, Bodi-Ome and Schiff.
  • Drive whitespace entry into new markets: Expand the VMS footprint across the globe with key focus on Europe, Americas, and Africa (non-Asian countries). This involves building new avenues of entry and growth across these regions, building the right portfolio strategy and collaborating for the best activation plan that maximizes success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify the key rollout markets for Reckitt’s VMS business that help maximize growth for the international division
  • Identify the right product and portfolio strategy to enter these whitespace markets
  • Identify the right innovations to take to China via the cross border route (excluding Move Free) 
  • Work closely with and guide the local teams to ensure an excellent launch and support, as well as post launch activation to ensure a long-term sustainable business
  • Work with multi-functional team including R&D, Regulatory and medical as well as external agencies to ensure the agreed rollout strategy is delivered as launch products on time
  • Ensure all processes are complete on time for an effective launch
  • Initiate and manage market research projects on a case-to-case basis to deliver powerful consumer and customer insights as the basis for long term brand growth; develop these insights into achievable plans
  • Assist the Marketing Director to build long term strategic plans and financial overviews for the international expansion business

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of 7-8 years’ experience in brand management
  • MBA 
  • Any past experience working in international business, business development, or whitespace market expansion is needed
  • Mandarin language fluency is essential, both reading and speaking
  • Financially and commercially astute
  • Self-motivated, highly flexible and has an “owner’s mindset”
  • Teamwork skills 
  • Ability to work in a global environment
  • Networking skills
  • Resilience
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office 
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to handle ambiguity
  • Experience working with a multifunctional product development team
