Head of Business Development - Americas

The Business Development Head for Americas is a new role within Global Expansion Markets (GEM), a new business unit set up in RB. The role of GEM within RB is to take the wide portfolio of RB brands plus new segments to new geographies which are not in plan for local country launch / roll out, working with external partners to ensure access to high quality hygiene, wellness and nourishment to all consumers.

The regional head of Business Development plays a key role on the GEM team driving borderless channel strategy and managing GEM customer relationships in the Americas. This highly important role will mix key strategic development of our GEM models by identifying new opportunities and delivering commercial targets for GEM in the Americas, while building a 3rd party driven execution model that allows RB to plug-and-play new brands and segments with relative ease in established GEM markets and partnerships. The scope will include building expert knowledge in our key categories/ channels for the long haul, building a sustainable business model and business for RB.
 

Qualifications

  • Entrepreneurial talent with 7+ years of sales, trade marketing / business development experience; minimum of 3 years in whitespace expansion and new sales model development and execution
  • Prior experience includes driving frontline sales in multi-geographies / international trade / export markets; launching and growing new brands working with cross-functional, global teams; international work or international team coordination is required; Ecommerce experience preferred
  • Ability to drive new business – entrepreneurial mindset 
  • Relationship builder with strong focus and passion for delivering targets
  • Strong creative, analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to deal with ambiguity and work in unstructured environments; comfortable with a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills capable of building strong working relationships and influencing customers and internal teams; strong commercial understanding of business issues/opportunities 
  • Tenacious and resilient, driven to achieve even when faced with obstacles
