About the role
Reporting to the GM Marketing US.  This role is responsible for driving commercial and operational excellence with the core decision makers of the business in order to drive, develop and execute the business strategies.  The role contributes to the growth of the business through leading and applying best practices for commercial execution, helping to fuel operational effectiveness across the business and building world class strategic planning and marketing capability plans. The role will also be important in identifying and developing commercial partnership opportunities in new growth spaces. While the role reports into US Marketing, it is imperative the impact is felt across all commercial and operational groups.

•    Identify new commercial partnership opportunities and ‘white space’ growth initiatives, with a particular focus on Speciality and Hospital portfolio
•    Identifying and applying commercial best practices to fuel growth of Nutrition business unit.
•    Driving unified commercial leadership through operational effectiveness across key business areas, including gross margin improvement initiatives, productivity improvements and monthly management review cycles
•    Lead the development and key planning for the annual strategic planning process including marketing plans and financial plan presentations
•    Identify opportunities for process improvement and simplification for key commercial processes
•    Lead the US Nutritional Marketing team capability development road map, ensuring that best in class talent development capabilities are in place
•    Identify and apply best practices to optimize key business scorecards, including innovation dashboards and KPI frameworks.
•    Being a strategic and influential partner to all key stakeholders in Marketing, Medical Sales and Trade Marketing.


•    Significant and proven experience in commercial marketing roles and developing strong business partnerships
•    Full commercial understanding of corporate and operational business issues, including all elements of strategic planning
•    Strong understanding of marketing strategy, planning issues, budgeting, priority setting, project management 
•    Complete understanding of P&L management
•    Strong marketing capability development understanding
•    Highly analytical, proficient with the technical competencies of marketing, modelling and analytics 
•    Proven track record as a top performer within a multi cultural environment  
•    Very passionate with very strong consumer orientation 
•    Bachelor's Degree in related field 
•    Results oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivating 
•    Bias for action, capability to define, evaluate and take risks 
•    Strong leadership, HIGH accountability, motivational and interpersonal skills 
•    Capable of building strong working relationships and motivating teams to deliver outstanding results with or without hierarchical relationships 
•    Ability to transform solid thinking into action (a thinker and an achiever)
