R&D Ops Associate

Job Purpose:

This R&D role is the critical link between Category R&D and Supply, providing ongoing product support to Supply. The group leads development activities in the medium to long term to resolve production issues, implementation of product enhancements,and defence of net revenue.

Principle Job Accountabilities

General:
 Ensure all technical aspects of the product development, maintenance and roll out are carried out as per the agreed timings, with any issues or risks clearly highlighted to line manager in a timely manner.
 Liaise with the cross functional internal and external team to ensure technical milestones are met
 Ensure all relevant product specifications and internal documentation is in place and fully approved prior to full production start-up
 To be consumer minded and have an understanding of behaviour across the different regions and translate this learning into product design and development
 Balance formulation and product performance robustness and challenging cost targets
 Development of robust evaluation methodologies leading to sustainable and consumer-relevant claims
 Responsible for the compilation, approval and circulation of technical reports throughout the product development process.
 All assigned development activity must conform to legislative, health & safety and environmental requirements.

 Follow safety, health & environment regulations & policy by working safely, reporting unsafe condition / unsafe act / near miss accident to supervisor as well as suggest for any improvementey Challenges
 Effective tracking and management of all product development/ maintenance work and associated testing, to ensure no slippage versus agreed timings, despite multiple projects and priorities
 Technical problem solving and troubleshooting when required to ensure issues are addressed without delaying or hindering progression of project
 Ability to stand up to challenge from cross-functional teams
 Optimisation of product formulation/ process to ensure all technical success criteria are met – balancing performance and cost
 Timely completion of technical documentation, specifications and support data to a high standard

Knowledge and Skills required


 Bachelor’s degree or above on Chemical Engineer/Science, Polymer Engineer/ science, Pharmacy or any relevant Technical background is preferred.
 A minimum of 3 years working experienced in Product/Process technologist of personal care or pharmaceutical or medical device is preferred.
 Good communication skills in both Mandarin and English
