In a dynamic production environment, you’ll be responsible for all technical activities at one of our largest facilities. You’ll:

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • To manage a small team and ensure resources are allocated to meet key milestones and are aligned with business priorities.
  • To lead and coordinate process validation across the site
  • To initiate and implement process development and improvement in the areas of cost, quality and customer service
  • To support the Global Healthcare Manufacturing facilities providing technical support as required, working with the Regional Supply Heads to support global manufacturing and engineering strategies
  • To continuously review manufacturing processes on the Salt Lake site and at contract manufacturers to determine the most cost-effective supply strategy, and to improve process capability.
  • To ensure that the company’s strategic imperatives as they relate to the Technical Department are implemented
  • Management of projects and budgets and deadlines to ensure implementation of supply\technical strategy
Key Challenges

 

  • Motivation and development of world class processing team.
  • Representing Supply best interest cross-functionally.
  • Making efficient and best use of resource to ensure business projects meet tight, often fixed deadlines
  • Understand new process and manufacturing methods
  • Co-ordination of cross business project teams (NPD, Transfer, Monosource, Squeeze)
  • Ad hoc support and troubleshooting of manufacturing technologies in the UK and globally

 

Professional Qualifications

 

  • Degree in Science or Engineering.
  • In depth knowledge and experience of manufacturing technology
  • 8 years industry experience, Pharmaceuticals and FMCG business
  • Knowledge of UK, EU and FDA standards and legislation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence
