Business Development, Strategy and Planning Director - Assistant of the President

A fantastic opportunity is available for a Business Director at the office of the President – based in Amsterdam. You will reside in the RB Hygiene Leadership team, you will be working as the primary partner and enabler for Harold van De Broek, our president, with primary focus on the following areas.


1.Program Management
- Lead the program management for the business unit, and the executive committee meetings. Helping set right priorities with stakeholders, to ensure all critical issues are discussed and delivered upon.
- Work with Senior stakeholders (like e.g. CFO, CMO/Regional directors/Functional directors/ Brand directors) to help design their growth plans and brand strategies across six power brands and five regions


2.Support Office of the President
- Act as sounding board, attending meetings to keep a pulse on our business, providing feedback and helping connect dots with others across the company
- Strategic planning - collate and structure on-going business management challenges, ensuring right essential items are prioritized and delivered well
- Coordinate/ co- lead Business Unit conferences and webcasts. Develop presentations/material to enable the President to deliver clear, concise and inspirational messages to the business
- Support in creating Investment Board- and RB Board decks where required


3.Drive External Thinking & Perspective
- Identify and bring external inspirations (startups, design agencies, technology firms) who can bring new ways of work and thinking to the marketing organization
- Work with global media partners e.g. Google, Facebook etc. to trial new capabilities and business value for RB and present recommendations to the management team


- Mentoring and development from C-level execs - Working closely with the President, you will get regular access and visibility to the CMO, CFO and the rest of the management team, you will get to learn from the top minds in the FMCG industry getting exposure to multiple geographies and talent
- Global exposure to business and opportunities to work in multiple geographies in developed and emerging markets

Desired Skills and Experience
- Approx. 8-12 years of professional experience 
- Experience in one of the top consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, Boston Consulting Group, Edelmann etc) or exceptional experience in FMCG company 
- Solutions instead of problem oriented
- Analytical
- Able to build great connections across levels of the organization fast
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
- Problem-solving and strategic planning ability
- Pragmatic and out of the box thinker 
- Self-motivated with strong drive 
- Strong team player
- Ability to cope with ambiguity, pressure and challenges
