Global Business Intelligence Manager

RB’s Hygiene business unit exists to “Make a Cleaner World” – it’s not just a catchphrase, but it’s what gets us out of bed in the morning and drives our business decisions. To help us fulfill that purpose, we have a Category Development Organization (CDO), that is responsible for the long-term strategy and innovation for our brands around the world. A critical part of this organization is the Consumer and Data Insights (CDI) team – and within this, a small team focused on competitor & industry intelligence and macro trends who are responsible for strategic insights on competition and the external environment, to support senior management decision making.



RB is looking for a passionate Global Business Intelligence Manager to build competitor and industry insights to drive the strategy of our brands and business unit. This role is part of a team who works across all brands and categories in the Hygiene Business Unit, working with the core brand Insights team, but also with multiple other functions across the business, e.g. Marketing, R&D, Strategy. In effect, GBI acts as an internal consultancy and provides a unique opportunity to work with senior stakeholders across the business. The team utilizes a wide range of internal and external desk research and data sources to build actionable insights for the business unit and brands. 


- Lead and develop a program of strategic intelligence on the key brands competing with RB Hygiene brands – as inputs to annual strategic planning process; in response to briefs; and importantly, on an ongoing, proactive basis
- Own GBI’s regular competitor brand intelligence input to key management meetings – interacting with country and corporate teams to synthesize and add value.  
- Deliver ongoing, strategic insights (incl. Competitor, Channel, Industry, Macro Trends, penetration, Consumer Intimacy, e.com) to senior management – identifying opportunities / threats
- Deliver Competitor Financial benchmarking 4X per year 
- Play a role in advancing best-in-class market & competitor insights capabilities within RB.

You will work closely with a multi-functional team, both globally and locally.

You will report into the GBI Lead
- Ideally 4-7 years of experience in competitor / market insights; consulting; strategic planning
- Conceptual understanding of key business questions
- Ability to think outside the box and be agile / creative in terms of data / sources / tools / approach. 
- Highly developed analysis skills; synthesizing data along with qualitative, unstructured information to develop strategic insights
- Experience in dashboard creation to deliver insights and in use of reporting tools like PowerBI to support regular updates. Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills 
- Familiarity with key elements of a company P&L and financials ratios
- Ability to work independently and to take ownership of projects and the monitoring of specific categories, brands and competitors.
