Quality Associate, Greater China Hygiene

Summary

The primary responsibility of the Quality Associate is to ensure Quality and Compliance of Hygiene products and processes within the supply/distribution chain & external manufacturing activities.  This role must work effectively with external distributor partners, internal parties, manufacturing sites and other third parties. The core responsibilities include establishing a QMS in the supply chain process that includes quality control & assurance in the goods handling, transportation, distribution, embellishment, release and post launch activities. The role will be instrumental in change management, non-conformance investigation, CAPA management, complaint management and other aspects of QMS responsible for continual improvement in achieving quality excellence.

Responsibilities / Accountabilites

LOCAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (QMS)

  1. Responsible to support the Commercial Quality Manager to develop and implement the local Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure fully compliant products.
  2. Provide support on continuous improvement projects determined by local requirements (customer or consumer feedback, regulation, etc.) or by Global Quality requirements
  3. Ensure a system is in place to manage local distribution, embellishment, re-pack, and co-packing work to meet all regulatory requirements.
  4. Training – Develop and carry out training for external parties relevant to the RB global QMS & to the local QMS/Regulatory requirements.
  5. Maintain a Fit-for-purpose QMS, including developing & maintaining a robust process for
  • Change Management- ensuring business changes are effectively controlled;
  • Non Conformance Management-lead investigations of quality issues & apply corrective & preventative actions
  • Audit/Inspection Management- Ensure adequacy & effectiveness of the local QMS
  • Document Management- Maintain documented control for local QMS (SOPs, TAs etc)
  • Critical Events & Product Recall process- Establish & communicate responsibilities, conduct mock recalls.

FREIGHT, DISTRIBUTION and EMBELLISMENT

  1. Quality oversight of freight-in operations, distribution and embellishment activities and any associated changes
  2. Responsible for initial compliance assessment and approval of Distributors & Embellishers handling products and their Technical Agreements. 
  3. Support product launch activities and corresponding quality control & inspection
  4. Work with Distributors Supply and Quality teams in the investigation, correction and prevention of quality issues compromising product aesthetics, performance or compliance.

Responsibilites / Accountabilities (Con)

EXTERNAL MANUFACTURING /SUPPLY QUALITY

  1. Work with regional and Supply Quality /External Manufacturing teams to ensure implementation of appropriate controls to ensure consistent quality of products
  2. Quality oversight of NPD/EPD projects for externally manufactured products 
  3. Project validation (line trials, technology transfers, etc). Approval (or rejection) of specification for and from 3rd party manufacturers
  4. Manage the resolution of Quality non-conformities and implementation of CAPAs for externally manufactured products in close co-ordination with Procurement and Supply
  5. Management of Consumer Complaints, Change Control, Post-market surveillance of externally manufactured products, management of Deviation and CAPA process
  6. Manages & conducts the external audits, store check program and self inspections and ensure that any necessary actions are put in place. 

INSPECTIONS

  1. Co-ordinate and host external inspections by External Authorities, third-parties and Reckitt Benckiser in cooperation with Regulatory.
  2. Co-ordinate follow ups and responses after external inspections. Ensure that any CAPA is resolved in a timely manner.
  3. Plan and manage regular self-inspection and internal audit plan for DCs, Embellishers, Hauliers,EMOs and Commercial Units. Ensure that any CAPA is raised and resolved in a timely manner.

KPI & METRICS MANAGEMENT

  1. Ensure that metrics are regularly reported in-line with the company metrics & timelines.

CONSUMER EXPERIENCE

  1.  Relentless obsession with products on shelf and consumers experience – lead intelligent evaluation of consumer feedback, interpretation of data and trending, and promote actionable remediation & prevention tasks 

Professional Qualifications & Experience

•    At least 3 years’ experience working in a quality compliance function in Hygiene, Home, FMCG,, Healthcare, or Medical Device related industry
•    Good understanding of ISO QMS and GDP requirements
•    Experience in maintaining a robust QMS
•    Appropriate qualifications in auditing an advantage
