This role will be responsible for establishing, maintaining and updating raw materials food safety standards for all products manufactured under Reckitt’s Nutrition business unit globally, with special emphasis to fats and oils, and their chemistry and toxicology. In this process of management of global food safety standards, it is expected that due consultation and engagement with relevant functions including (but not limited to) R&D, Quality, Procurement and externally with various suppliers, external laboratories will be maintained to ensure alignment and smooth implementation.

A key member of our Nutrition business, you’ll establish, maintain and update global food safety standards for fats and oils portfolio ingredients. You’ll:

  • Liaise with Procurement, Supplier Quality, R&D and Regulatory functions to establish and update raw material food safety standards with special emphasis on fats and oils
  • Advise the business on raw material safety & compliance including tests, labs and approval status per market
  • Understand, interpret, and inform Reckitt on Food Safety standards related regulations and new requirements that impact the business by scanning the regulatory and industry horizon
  • Anticipate and identify emerging food safety risks through horizon scanning. Assess and manage them in an efficient and effective way; advise the business on action plan to mitigate, advise on analytics (lab and methods)
  • Establish a contaminant monitoring plan to be applied globally for all nutrition factories and run it
  • Be the single point of “expert” contact for all relevant technical questions related to fats and oils.


You’ll succeed because… 
…your specific skill sets include experience in chemical and toxicological food safety in nutrition business, demonstrated verbal and written communication of technical information, and a strong working knowledge of all aspects of highly regulated infant-nutrition manufacturing and supply chain processes. You have in-depth knowledge of Food Safety risks, and you:

  • Have a good understanding of regulatory bodies and current issues of Food Safety, ideally relating to infant nutrition
  • Are able to operate with a global mind-set with excellent communication skills; need to have the ability to communicate complex concepts both verbally and in writing
  • Are never satisfied with status quo / courageous enough to challenge, passionate enough to collaborate and confident enough to lead towards continuous improvement.
