You’ll be responsible for helping to drive net revenue and gross margin enhancement within the business through identifying clear and actionable opportunities across pack, price, mix and promotional activities and working with the sales team to drive business improvement. In addition to this, own & drive sales financial tool management.

The role plays a key part in ensuring the company can meet it’s sales objectives, working closely with the Trade Marketing director to create value and efficiency and supporting the identification of opportunities for growth.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Understand in year promotional spend, deploy tools to enable efficiency enhancement and collaborate with the sales team to realise benefits.
  • Highlight mix based opportunities for revenue development across the account base.
  • Work with the global team to manage compliance with Floor and target prices, addressing any issues.
  • Understand the business to a triple net level to enable true comparison and value-based decisions.
  • Identify key metrics contributing to financial shape improvement set and track targets to meet objectives
  • Own the structural integrity of financial set up of lines, managing NPD process to ensure lines can be sold, tracked and measured effectively.
  • Own and drive our commercial system data integrity & be a key point of contact for support, change management and training on the financial tool.
  • Train and coach (new and existing) power users on sales processes in and around the commercial system to ensure they drive improved forecasting and robust P&Ls using consistent guidelines.
  • Own the set-up of COGS from Sales Operations perspective, ensuring all new SKUs have COGS, flagging non-compliance through data quality checks
  • Integrate net revenue management into the business operating model ensuring every £ spent ROI mentality is embedded


You’ll succeed if you have…

 

  • High standard of education with finance/ FMCG experience of min 3 years
  • Advanced Excel skills essential
  • The ability to build and understand systems and P&L’s, enabling you to create tools to empower better decision making throughout the business
  • Strong analytical abilities through which you can generate genuine insight
  • Demonstrated financial and commercial acumen
  • Confidence and capability of engaging all levels and functions of the organisation and stakeholders
  • An interest and passion for entrepreneurship is critical
  • Ideally knowledge of category insight tools, financial systems
