Senior Finance Analyst, Corporate Accounting

You will be working as part of the Group Corporate Control team responsible for all aspects of external reporting to shareholders and other stakeholders including, quarterly trading statements, interim and preliminary announcements and annual report. In addition, you will be responsible for helping drive the group month end close working with individual markets, dealing with queries and ensuring the timetable is met. You will have a deep understanding of the Group’s operations in order to be able to drive efficient process and policy change. You'll align internal accounting policies with ever developing / changing regulatory and reporting environment. You will build relationship with external auditors (KPMG) to resolve issues and ensure the annual audit process is effective and efficient as well as build strong relationships with Group Treasury, Tax and Corporate Development (M&A) departments to ensure that accounting issues are identified and addressed early. You will also help drive the accounting of significant corporate transactions, including acquisitions, creation of joint ventures and disposals and review and revise key finance policies as the group moves towards a more efficient operating model. You'll ensure the group is compliant with all current accounting standards (IFRS), listing rules (UK LSE) and all other relevant regulatory requirements as well as review proposed and ongoing developmentst o ensure the group is prepared for the adoption of new standards / requirements and support the introduction of UK SOX.
