Channel Manager & Customer Activation Manager

The Channel & Customer Activation Manager is responsible for developing and building Channel/Customer category expertise and shopper insights as well as executing the 4P strategy in the market. This includes trade story, distribution priorities and placement as well as pricing, distribution and promo strategy.

With solid local shopper and trade insights, the person on this position is acting as counterpart for the KAM team in making the right long-term business decisions. The position is also responsible for customer activation activities.

Responsibilities

 

  • Alignment of Customer Category Strategy / Role with Retailer
  • Channel/customer category expertise and shopper insights
  • Must stock list (meaning distribution priority list) by channel/customer
  • Channel/customer execution incl. trade story, PICOS (picture of success in each customer), 4P opportunities
  • Category presence and placement recommendations, building close relationships with the trade
  • Brand activations to win in the market, including P&L for new launches
  • Market, consumer and shopper analysis and maintaining f.ex. Market share and listing trackers to track and communicate performance
  • Adapt to specific customers the brand category growth platform and trade engagement plans delivered by Nordic Trade Marketing.
  • Provide feedback and input on the Annual Brand Plan process, including the financial impact of the execution., improvements in sizing/pricing, 4P strategy on innovation pipeline, and competitor’s actions in a market.
  • Build 4Ps gap analysis and work with sales and customer marketing to agree upon/develop clear and specific plans for corrective actions
  • Work with Local Trade Marketing team to translate the defined shopper principles into optimum displays and on shelf point of sale solutions
  • Work with Brand Marketing team to ensure in-store activation focusses on brand priorities
  • Lead the activation of RB brands within key Retailer Events from the creation of consumer activation concepts aligned with Brand Marketing priorities to delivery of in-store Brand activation toolkit

Requirements

 

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, trade marketing or channel management in FMCG/pharmaceutical or retail company
  • Category management experience preferred
  • Experience in analyzing of large and complex data
  • Fluency in English
  • Planning and project management skills
  • Strategic thinker with confidence to effectively deliver account plan
  • Proven track record of P&L management, budget delivery and growth momentum.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
