Local Trade Marketing Manager

The Local Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for driving brand penetration, market share, net revenue and gross ,argin in local market. With solid shopper and trade insight, she/he defines the brand 4P strategy, communicates it to the local sales team, and tracks and owns the execution in market.

Main responsibilities:

  • Local Success Model (LSM) development and review, leveraging key global, Power of 1 and local learnings to define effective 4Ps strategy on Hygiene & Home brands.
  • Picture of Success (PicOS) by brand/store format/country development, review and execution, translating LSM principles into actionable directives on execution in store.
  • Adapt to the Nordic markets the brand category growth platform and trade engagement plans based on a thorough understanding of market conditions and trends.
  • Lead Annual Brand Plan process on the base business (ie excluding innovation pipeline incremental), including financial impact of PicOS execution.
  • Define improvements in sizing/pricing for the brand base business (if needed), as well as 4P strategy on innovation pipeline.
  • Develop Nordic point of sale materials and deliver the materials to market, collaborating with the Nordic marketing team.
  • Build 4Ps gap analysis and work with sales and customer marketing to agree upon/develop clear and specific plans for corrective actions
  • Champion new product market entry and execution. Includes development of sales presentation/materials and tracking/analysing 4Ps in-marks implementation.
  • Manages the brand consumer promo budget, including allocation by key activity/country/customer



  • Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent in Sales, Marketing Management, International Business or Retail Management



  • Category management – FMCG, OTC, retail
  • Customer management process
  • Commercial acumen
  • Analysis of large and complex data
  • Syndicated data (Nielsen/IRI, Spectra, Panel Data, A&U’s)



  • Fluency – oral and written: - English - Swedish Nice to have: - Scandinavian


 Other Requirements

  • Specific job skills: Account management, planning issues, priority settings, project management, commercial understanding of corporate and operational business. Strategic thinker with confidence to effectively deliver account plan. Proven track record of P&L management, budget delivery and growth momentum.
  • Personality:  Energetic and self-driven in pursuing and finishing objectives – exercise initiative. Self-confident, result oriented, proactive, meticulous and resilient in all aspects. Result-oriented, and natural planner with a critically assessment of own performance – quick learner, intellectually curious, pragmatic and of principle. “I can and I will do” attitude – open to change and unfamiliar tasks. Capable of building strong relationships.  Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Literacy & Numeracy: Understanding of business finance.
