Assistant Trade Marketing Manager

Key Role
  • Building expert knowledge in our key categories and sharing this with the cistomer in order to build long term partnerships and increase profit and sales.
  • Leads withing the country the development and implementation of category management strategies, this will focus on increasing RB/MJN's in-store presence in our categories, strengthening our brands, optimizing product assortment, and promotional strategy.
  • Driving excellence in in-store 4P execution across key customers/key accounts.
Responsibilities
  • Develops country/customer 4P strategy and tactics in line with respective head of key accounts, and building on global 4P strategy. 
  • Defines Category trade marketing KPIs.
  • Defines and manages the trade marketing budget.
  • Contributes to category marketing plans, with customer & category analysis and promotional strategy.
  • Continuous analysis of the customer’s position, works together with the key account manager to recommend in store actions aimed at strengthening RB/ MJN’s position in the category.
  • Develops and implements RB promotional strategy (in line with brand priorities and media plans) across customers.
  • Presenting on 4P strategy to our customers.
  • Key contact for the brand marketing team with regards to all promotional and customer activity.
Professional Qualifications / Experience
  • Prior trade marketing experience with a blue chip fast moving consumer goods company of at least 2 years, and preferably additional functional experience in either: Sales/Key Account function working with key international retailers, or brand marketing.
  • Results oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivating.
  • Tenacious and resilient, driven to achieve even when faced with obstacles.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills capable of building strong working relationships and influencing and customers and internal teams.
  • Strong commercial understanding of business issues/opportunities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral (in English).
  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing strategy and planning issues.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to develop strategies, tactics and measurable implementation
