IS Data Lead

We are looking for Data Lead to join our RB Information Technology team. This person will be Lead for a specific data area for Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions.

The main focus within IT at RB is to implement common business systems/solutions to deliver synergy, cost savings and drive the business forward. 

Your responsibilities:
- Partner with IT team members and business end users across all functional areas in identifying long-term, strategic BI, analytic and reporting needs.  Collaboration with global partners will be required to ensure alignment with IT strategies.
- Lead system/reporting, analysis, design, testing, and documentation for BI and analytic solutions across all business functions including technical expertise
- Working with business partners(s) to define business requirements, analyse them, define resulting application and reporting changes and develop cost/benefit comparisons. This includes consideration and compliance with RB standards and security implications.
- Working in multi-functional teams as the representative of the IT function. In this capacity, the Business Analyst will possess a good knowledge of the technical aspects of a project (BI and analytic solutions in Finance) but also some understanding of the broader business objectives (commercial/financial, consumer, supply services and customer business functions) as applicable.
- Monitor, analyse, and recommend enhancements to existing application/reporting systems and solutions. 
- As IT projects are scoped, participate in the effort to identify potential solutions, including hardware considerations, purchased software options, internal software and development options and corporate hardware/software policy and direction.
- Collaborate with technical teams to determine technical design, development activities and manage deliverables.  Ensure that projects follow RBs project management and validation methodologies.
- Support efforts to program, test, and implement projects and enhancements.       
- Supervise the efforts of internal programmer resources as required.
- Maintain state of the art business and technological knowledge to enable the constant improvement of information systems.
- Provide support to troubleshoot any issues on BI, Analytic and reporting solutions.
- Ensure that all system security and control procedures are implemented and followed per change and incident Management RB protocols.

Our requirements:
- Functional Understanding of business functions and BI and analytic solutions/technologies - and ability to implement them
- Ability to communicate across Junior levels within the business
- Business analysis / requirements definition, technical design and project management
- Knowledge and understanding of Agile/Rapid application development
- Possess a good understanding of agile and scrum development methodology
- Knowledge of technologies/solutions adopted by RB including but not limited to:
o Must to have: SQL, Python
o Nice to have: Scala, SAP BW and Hana, PowerBi, Azure data Factory, DataBricks
- Knowledge and understanding of GIT (nice to have)
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to work on own initiative to drive and deliver results
- Language skills: fluent English (additional languages desirable but not required
- Team player
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
