Marketing Controller, Hygiene Home

This is a key position in the finance organization supporting the Poland & Baltics senior leadership team with the provision of high quality financial and non-financial support to facilitate timely strategic decision making both in the short and longer term. Fully responsible for all marketing business partnering.


Marketing Controller



Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting and advising marketing department on strategic and operational decision-making through insights that drive better business performance, particular focus on BEI/non-BEI, EPD, NPD, budget & planning – active participation in marketing review cycle
  • Interpreting, explaining, driving performance within the business with a dynamic industry, competitor & economic context, advising on key business planning assumptions, trades off & opportunities, provide ad hoc analysis on issues
  • Ownership and understanding of all dimensions of the marketing P&L costs
  • Marketing accrual managements i.e. aging, build, release, tracking, PO approval/ closure
  • Full support for marketing department planning short term and long term -brand planning to SKU level
  • Approval of all marketing related costs – including any re-class to or from marketing
  • Month end close required activities i.e. marketing closing, accurals, PO maintenance, spend reports
Key Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Economics and/or MBA/MSc and/or CPA/CIMA/ ACCA preferred
  • 3-4 years work experience within Finance/ Accounting
  • FMCG knowledge and commercial finance controlling/ business partnering experience essential
  • Excellent business acumen and commercial understanding, customer and market knowledge
  • Ability to challenge, guide and influence business decisions, multi-task and prioritize assignments
  • Strong attention to details and ability to work with large amount of data
  • Big 4 trained an advantage but not necessary
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills & strong influencing skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (excellend Excel Skills is a must), knowledge of management reporting systems
