Senior Counsel PL&EE

Senior Counsel PL&EE, Hygiene will provide legal advice for RB within Poland & Eastern Europe Region, Hygiene Business Unit, with a key focus on Poland commercial business and Polish factory, such as commercial, advertising, compliance, real estate, permits & authorizations related topics. Also, the role will shadow the Legal Director PL&EE, Hygiene in providing legal advice to other countries within Poland & Eastern Europe Region, especially Hungary and the Czech Republic. 


Purpose of the role is to support the common effort of elevating the impact of legal function, create business partnerships with key stakeholders and create a collaborative environment, with the final aim to ensure legal compliance across the business, to create a culture of “doing the right thing, always” within organization,  as well to maintain the business’s integrity both internally and externally (reputational risk).

By joining our truly regional legal team, you’ll: 

  • provide legal advice to organization in all legal areas, such as contracts approval and drafting, review and approval of advertising materials, competition law advice, commercial law, labor law, compliance, data privacy, permits & authorizations, real estate, corporate law etc.
  • partner to the business within commercial organization, with key focus on Marketing, Sales, Supply departments 
  • be a member of Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki's factory (Production Facility) Management Team: provide Senior Leadership with strategic and operational guidance
  • shadow the Legal Director POL&EE in managing cross-region projects, as well as Hungary and Czech Republic hubs
  • implement the directions and processes required to provide a robust, timely, commercially minded and risk focused advice to internal clients
  • provide organization with support on existing policies and procedures
  • establish and maintain contacts with internal business partners to support their processes from legal standpoint and provide insights into decision-making 
  • represent the company in front of Polish local authorities
  • provide relevant training to organization, such as Competition Law, Company’s Policies etc.


You’ll succeed because… 
…you’re an experienced, qualified lawyer who thinks commercially and relishes finding solutions to challenges. You: 

  • have a wealth of experience (at least 5 years) as fully qualified lawyer/ legal counsel, in-house or private practice (expertise in FMCG industry is advantageous)
  • know how to get your expertise across in a way that others can absorb and act on 
  • are comfortable working at pace, with colleagues in your team and out across our whole business. 
  • like to work alone without direct supervision
  • have excellent communication skills
  • have experience in building relations with senior business leaders
  • communicate fluently in English, another European language will be an advantage
