Role Summary


  • Review and approve PO & posting of journals related to CFC and / or marketing related transactions including review of contracts / agreements / E-expenses and co-ordinate with various business partners to ensure that the transactions are processed and accounted for in accordance with Group Finance Policies and Control procedures. 
  • Work with Business and shared service team to ensure monthly closing activities (Booking entries, manage Open PO accrual, accruals, reversals, variance explanation, LV) are done adequately and within stipulated timeline.
  • Support the regional finance team on report validation amid transformation period. This includes changes of ERP system, management reporting, new implementation of business analysis tool, etc.
  • Support the business by providing high quality, relevant management information, with detailed understanding of the reporting environment on site and benchmarking to best practice.
  • Co-ordinate and supervise on utilization of CFC related expenses / marketing spending in Commercial P2P process including invoicing, vendor payments, cross charge, cost center accuracy (e.g. Marketing / T&E / other non-people costs related) and work with accounting team to ensure that they are done adequately and efficiently.  
  • Providing monthly/quarterly/ad-hoc management reporting to the finance and operations stakeholders. Work with CHQ counterparts to finalise the FY 2018 statutory and tax audit for dormant entity. Support the regional finance team to do month end close and monthly management reporting.
  • Closely monitor and follow up on cost center issues and clearance of long aged items such as Bonus accruals, recoverable receivables, cross charge from / to other markets, marketing accruals, long aged POs, other sundry accruals, etc. Manage Regional-scope projects spending (recorded, projected and allocation)
  • Support the Commercial Controller to standardize and streamline month end, reporting & forecasting, and various key business processes, and enforce proper accounting methods and adherence to Group Policies and work on other process improvement projects and lean initiatives




  • Possess a Bachelor of Accounting / Finance related degree with at least 3 years of relevant working experience which preferably should include Big 4 accounting firms
  • Able to read, write and communicate fluently both in English. Equipped with strong communication and interpersonal skills to contribute as a team member
  • This person should be numerate, analytical, and meticulous with the ability to work independently, with minimum supervision, and willing to go extra mile to reach challenging goals within very tight timelines.
  • Comfortable working in a changing environment typical of a fast-growing business with large volume of data from multiple sources and able to connect the dots whilst performing the data analytics to generate useful insights to identify risks / opportunities for business improvements  
  • Proficient in excel is a must and the ability to use BPC/SAP/Analysis for Office features are preferred
