R&D Operations is the R&D function responsible for products once they are launched on the market. The teams are based around the globe, working closely with R&D category development teams, supply, procurement, and commercial teams to identify and deliver projects to protect the existing business in addition to increasing the profitability of our products through cost saving programs. 


The role of an associate in R&D Operations is to plan, manage and implement functional specific work associated with infant and child nutrition projects and portfolios, delivering projects and solving technical problems. The associate is responsible for delivering team KPI’s and for managing a small team of associates or assistants to enable the execution of projects, supporting their personal development and the delivery of their own activities. The job is dynamic and complex, and the challenges you will face will give you the possibility to develop quickly, laying a solid foundation for your future career.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

•    R&D support of a designated range of products with the key goal of protecting the business through the delivery of compliance programs and supply service maintenance as well as implementation of cost saving initiatives to increase the profitability.
•    To work with partners (supply, regulatory, nutritional science, PMO, legal, Marketing, Category R&D) to deliver projects/solutions across the infant and child nutrition portfolio
•    To formulate and implement portfolio improvement and maintenance strategies across the given Health brands.
•    Lead assistants in project work
•    Responsible for various technologies.
•    Working with 3rd parties as needed to progress projects
 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educated to Degree level (Food/Nutritional Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other relevant science)


EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2-3 years R&D experience with a proven track record of delivery
  • Line management and people development desirable
  • Understanding of nutritional and food science or similar
  • Experience of generating technical documentation and reports to support product registration
  • An excellent technical problem solver
  • Experience of working with multiple partners to deliver success
  • Experience with resource planning and prioritization desirable
