Senior Business Development Manager, GEM ASEAN

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Drives commercial set-up and direct relationship with the distributor and key customers (JBP) for ASEAN markets.
  • Manages daily operation with customers to ensure orders are fulfilled on time. • Drives continuous improvement of customer performance via 4P (price, promo strategy etc.)
  • Constant optimization of the financial performance of the customer / business model. • Customer & category development via analysis, insights, new listings & promotional strategy.
  • New distributor & customer identification, nurturing and management.
  • Supports sell out in destination market by creating best in class performance (brand activation, content, marketing etc.) digitally / in-store in close partnership with GEM marketing team.
  • Develops 4P support activities for new channels / stores offline & via new store opening through marketplaces (new destination listings, new destination countries opening) online. 


  • Relevant Degree qualifications
  • Entrepreneurial talent with 5+ years of sales, trade marketing / business development experience. Experience in whitespace expansion & new sales model development & execution is a plus.
  • Prior experience includes frontline sales / international trade / exports. Launching and growing new brands working with cross-functional, global teams. International working + ecommerce experience preferred.
  • Ability to drive new business – entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Relationship builder with strong focus & passion for delivering targets.
  • Strong creative, analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in unstructured environments. Be comfortable with fast paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills capable of building strong working relationships and influencing and customers and internal teams. Strong commercial understanding of business issues/opportunities.
  • Tenacious and resilient, driven to achieve even when faced with obstacles.
