Manager, Automation

The Manager -Automation, Zeeland Supply Center (ZSC) is responsible for managing and leading the Automation organization including strategic planning, supporting the site  manufacturing/utility/facility/quality operations, maintaining the validated status of site automation systems, and managing the automation portions of Zeeland capital projects.

 

Duties:

•    Communicates a clear vision for a fully integrated Automation team and develops short- and long-term strategies for site Automation systems 
•    Effectively manage the Automation organization to provide site and plant maintenance services 
•    Provides leadership in the area of plant automation through the identification and introduction of innovative solutions that drive continuous improvement.
•    Maintains the validated status of site Automation Systems by owning and leading appropriate change control policies throughout equipment lifecycle.
•    Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
•    Develops, supports, and executes capital projects to support changes to existing and the implementation of new plant automation systems. 


Job Requirements:

•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering or IT required.  MBA or other advanced degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
•    Minimum of 7-10 years in Plant Maintenance roles supporting manufacturing and/or utility operations.
•    Familiarity with Rockwell, DeltaV, and OSI PI systems or similar
•    Successful experience in managing people and leading teams in a dynamic environment with a proven track record of developing people. 
•    Demonstrated ability to drive ownership through leading by example, and collaboratively working with a leadership team to drive change in culture throughout the plant.
•    Demonstrated ability to develop strategic investment plans and implement major investment projects according to standards set on cost, timing and agreed to technical objectives and drive improvement of asset/system reliability.
